EDO NATIONAL CONGRESS MARCH 14TH 2015 MEETING.

AT TEMPORO GUEST HOUSE EVBORRIARRIA QUATERS BENIN CITY EDO STATE NIGERIA

The meeting started 3:25pm and follow by prayers opening by barrister Edogiawerrie. MR ANTHONY addressed the meeting saying that there is need for ENC member to unite together and stand firm and make sure that we actulise ENC and all member to do something so that our brother and sister in diaspora will be proud of in NIGERIA

MR EDOGIAWERRIE said that we should draft out our objectives and constitution, in every organisation it must have a well spelt aims, objectives and constitution, and we must operate within the constitution and our objectives, and that if we go outside our objectives we will be question by the law agency. He added we must operate within our objectives we stated in our constitution / organisation.

MR ANTHONY said that there is need for publication on the newspaper and media house so that the people will be aware of ENC . He suggest we put up some write up on the newspaper, atleast by publishing some article newspaper for a start up but. BARR EDOGIAWERRIE said it gonna be costly to publish such article on newspaper.

MR ANTHONY also address the issues of assigning electives positions to various member of ENC and set up board of trustee (BOT) and state chairman. He further said that we cannot carry out registration of ENC becacuse the person who said he could was not with us and few people attended the ENC meeting today. He also said that the change of the name should be universal and that will be acceptable by all people of edo nation.

There where also a debate on the change of name of the organisation and after much delibration on the issue the members concluded on the name BENIN be adopted.

BARR EDOGIAWERRIE said there is need to do research on the name if it is available for register in the co-operate affairs commision (CAC), and to register the name we must have a drafted objectives, constitution and protem officials drafted for different various position. That there should be a fixed period of time for each officials to spend in office, in the constitution. He added that we must have a state officials who will report to the ENC in diaspora board of trustee (BOT). Any body that we must appoint for board of trustee must be financial strong, and have connection to both state and federal level. Must be ready any time and day when call upon. Finally he added we must have chairman too of the organisation...

Other matters arising, all the members present in the today meetings pay their monthly dues of 200 naira which account for the total of 2400 naira. MR ISE-EGHEGHE JACKSON donated the sum of five thousand naira for the registration of the organisation, while others said they will donate their money on or before next meeting.

We also resolves to promote Edo cultural language and to reconcile with our neighbouring people.

The meeting was adjourn to 11th of April 2015, by BARR EDOGIAWERRIE and seconded by NOSAKHARE ANDREW.

COMMUNIQUE

ENC must have well structure administrative offcials to run the organisation activities
Outline and draft ENC constitution and objectives. and ENC must work within it objectives stated in the constitution.
Assign various positions to officials of ENC, and all officials shall be elected into various office positions, through free and fair election for specific period of time as stated in the constitution .
The ENC shall operate as a democratic system of organisation. where all members are free to contest and be elected into various position.
Members also adopted to register the organisation name with 'BENIN'.
Organise a rally of solidarity for the Nigeria army over the to effort of reinstating peace in northern nigeria and fighting against insurgent in our country.
The members also agree that there is need to reconcile with our neighbouring tribe close to us and the need for them to to join us in restoring our great nation.
